Just after that :
We are well aware that you have been biting your nails for the past months hoping to hear the good news and all you got were just messages from us about all the steps we took to arrive to thhe final step.
But today we did end the procedure and there is no next step anymore. This started in late November/early December and when you take the final step, you want to make sure that every word is accurate.
So we want to apologise for the time it took, but regardless of that it was totally worth it. Today we are proud to announce that AWS will deliver all the assets related to CBM (code and database) to us in the next 48 hours!!! It was a long battle to make sure AWS would not delete them and an even longer on to arrive to this result. As old CBM-crew we are proud that all our efforts were not in vain and that CBM will continue to exist and hopefully grow back to the glory days we all enjoyed.
This is the first and biggest step in that direction, but we are still not end the end of the road. We now need to ensure we have a hosting company, rebuild the crew, look for a developer to help us fix and improve CBM and so many other small and large things that come with receiving the assets. As charazay.com has been renewed by previous owners we will need to set up a new domain and maybe at the same time we can rename the game... These are just a few of many options we need to look at to get the game back online.
If you have any opinion on these matters please feel free to come talk to us on slack (Maxz, Norv, MOT-smile, Stefax,...) and we are open to listen to your opinions and explain our plans more in details there.
Also I want to make a special shout out to Norv, he has been putting a lot of time and effort (flying around the US to meet with AWS in person to push the matter forward) and his effort helped greatly to get to where we are. So please join us in thanking Norv for making those extra efforts to help bring CBM back to us.
We are proud to be your CBM crew soon again and we hope to see you all back ingame.
