The best rookie I had in more than 12 rl years playing the game (and fortunately I had some great rookies over the years) was at the moment with 18 years old, with an incredible growth potential and with a very bright future ahead of him... yeah you could say I'm a bit pissed off, but even so, I prefer that the game returns than just hanging on the memories this game gave me So a return from the dead of Charazay is better than no return at all

Good morning Charazayns,
A few days have passed so time to give you guys a small update on the progress:
Related to obtaining an old copy of the game (circa 2013), we have not made any progress. We are still waiting to receive the copy of the game and start testing it to see if we can get it to work.
In the mean time we are still pushing buttons over at AWS to see what possibilities are still left, Norv has been in contact with their head of Legal department and we will continue to pursue that option as well. We ave different options in front of us and are investigating all. (Sorry that I can't be more accurate here).
We are slowly looking into what is needed for CBM revival project as well as who will be on the team that will take care of the game. As of yet to my knowledge there is no crew yet assembled for the new project. My responsiblities at this moment are just to acquire the code and database and make sure that both work. After that has happened we (norv and myself for certain) will look into either setting up a team under our guidance or to pass the data to trusted team that will take the game forward. At this time plans also need to be set up on features to develop depending on what version will make it onto the server.
If people are interested in helping out with CBM revival please be sure to contact Maxz, Norv or myself (MOT-smile_guy), give information about yourself and what you are interested to work as on the project. Once we have more infomation we will keep you up to date as usual.

Good afternoon,
Two updates in one day must mean it is important, right?
Well I think it is at least, enough to tell you as soon as possible: We had some updated news from Borja and he is currently moving to a new appartment and has not been able yet to get internet working there, this means that we just have to be patient. He started to test the version he has on his own machine and it started without problem. He did not have time to test the scheduled events, but at least this is some very good news.
We will keep you up to date the further we progress within this path and hope Borja can upload all the information soon. May Charazay never rest (not in peace nor in hell)
Your devoted CBM crew

Hi guys,
I am here as well! Too bad, I was just about to kick everybody ass for the next couple of seasons and... Anyhow, lets try to do something for CBM.
Norv, do you need some help on the legal side?

Good morning,
I have been in contact with Borja most of the weekend, he has informed me that he expects his internet to be working around the 21th. But he has informed as well that at the moment he is not interested in sharing his copy of code and DB with us (or anyone else). He wishes to use the code and DB for his own project (BBM), retrofit the engine into BBM. His timeframe for this is several weeks if doing nothing else, but due to personal life is more likely to take several months.
After a small discussion and some extra work from Norv related to legal matters, I told Borja that he shouldn't use the data from the DB itself. Using that information is a violation of the privacy laws in many countries, including his and could have serious legal consequences.
I also talked to him about the fact that providing us wih his back-up could help his project as well when he is done. As the community remins active and can find his game much faster. I am still waiting on a response from him on this matter.
This weekend we also walked down the rod of legal department from AWS. We expect to receive more information from them tomorrow or the day after. We do not know if this is the final step down the legal ladder of AWS. Norv is very confident in a positive outcome and while I share his optimism, I will share his confidence once AWS gives us the information or access to it.
This turned out much longer than expected, but this has been a more busy weekend than last one.
Your CBM crew (looking at a bed, but returning to work instead)

i didn't expect him to share anything due to use them for his own profit. if aws give access what will be next step and how long will it take? i believe that charazay as we knew it finished. maybe something similar appear after 1month, 10months, 100months but not the same. now that everything finished lewy should reveal everything happened from themos period till the end. we lost the game, at least to learn why.

Once we would acquire the game from AWS, we would run a first set of tests locally to ensure the game runs properly, bring it online for all to play again. After this we would look into who will be the owner and crew of CBM, I had people asking if I was interested, but haven't made up my mind either way. The job of new team (imo) will be to plan where to take CBM, if a full reset is in order or not, have a lot of dialogue with the community as well. So far I know there are 2 similar project on their way: 1) The Serbian game that is running already and I guess should come out of beta in next couple of months, already playable. 2) This project, we have current estimation to have first version of game engine up in a few months. More on that will come when we have better chance to pin down the actual finishing date. At that time a very short closed alpha will be started (week or so) just to do balancing of the alpha engine and test as much as possible and have open alpha following that. After that we continue to enhance engine and at same time release more features until beta. I think at this moment CBM as we know isn't there, but I still have confidence that it can be returned. What happens after that will be up to the team and the community.

Really unexpected outcome... It is for the sixth (?) time, when you almost bought cbm from themoss, created new game, saved old copy of cbm, etc., but in the very last moment something went wrong? You must be the most unlucky liar in the world
