What does it mean that motion offense is good vs box-in-one or weak vs man-2-man? Does player get penalties to skills or what? I guess I will answer so won't feel ignored The idea is that each offense and defense type favors certain skills for players. At the same time each offenses style will get bonus vs 1 defense style and each defenses style will have bonus vs 1 offense style. Also will there be individual settings for players? Only only team settings mentioned above. Will we be able to check whats def/off style is our opponent using (man2man, run'n'gun, ...)? So far there isn't a plan for individual settings for players, the main idea behind that it is defined by the tactic you use. For example "Look Inside" will favor inside players for scoring and have outsiders pass ball around or to inside player. We plan to display what tactics a user favors, but no design for this has been made yet... The reason to have team tactics, is to simplify compared to CBM without losing the complexity of the engine. We also want to have more predictability on what you team does... As in CBM you could put player to pass more and still have him take most of the shots.

Thanks I spoke to some guys and they were afraid that such approach will make tactic too easy to set. In the end of a day you have players trained in one way that mostly benefits one offensive tactic over other. It makes you short of options. Many people like the complicity of CBM. I know that you sometimes got different results than you expected, but thats because of strenght of opponent's defence. You can make a guy with pass more to take a lot of shots, but alsa you have to deliver the ball ofhten to him. What's wrong about it?

If it is too easy, it shouldn't be too hard to add more options The idea is that we allow a lot of control without the need to change 50 values every time... Complexity not cause of the amount of choices, but by actual tactic setting...

Great beta version! Thumbs up for all developers. Two critical bugs found: - Sometimes CSS are not loaded correctly, or not loaded at all
- Not balanced engine, 10x played with same tactics and result vary from -23 to + 41!
On other hand: - Amazing graphics
- Almost fully functional "CBM parts of game" - training, matches, tactics, economy, youth team, transfers, NTs, arena, staff
- Great additions - players interviews + players morale, 2D engine, player special skills, price of tickets, play-offs (not fully implemented, but still)!!!, extended tactics options + conditional substitutions

Hey everybody,
So short update on the situation:
I am currently still very much taken by all the applications for a new position and I hope to resolve this by end of the month. This doesn't mean that the team is standing still.
Currently our back-end team is polishing our registration and login system and applying permissions to restrict unauthorized access to certain parts of the system. This will also be applied to the teams and currently aiming to finish this by end of March (soft deadline). We do not want to risk any possible trouble with this.
Once all these improvements have been completed the back-end team will move it's focus to the Game Engine itself and I will look into pushing our front end forward. Either by looking into reinforcing the team with a new PHP developer or working on it myself (this will mainly depend on how taxing my new work will be at the start). There is a chance as well that I will have to move abroad so this will also affect how front end part will proceed.
I am sorry that the dairy has been quiet for this long, but searching for a new position within Europe demands some traveling to make it happen.
This project is not forgotten and I do keep weekly talks with our back-end team related to their progress.

Hello everybody, I should have done all final interviews related to finding a new work, this means I will make a choice soon and adapt to the change. What hve we been doing so far while the time was silent: Our main focus has been working on the back-end and having most of the team focus on personal life due to the fact all had lot of things to do in personal life. We have finished everything related to user accounts and teams and will soon look into pushing forward with testing those out. There is some work left related to permissions, but at this day we agreed that permissions on teams was not a must have for alpha. The next stage for our back-end team will be the game engine and starting with the architecture of this. Our design is clear, our process as well, we need to properly set every thing up and make test runs. Related to front end part of the site, at this time we have 2 possibilities: 1) Wait till I am able to settle down and start working on FE again 2) Find a FE programmer that is willing to work on the site and having me as complaining management breathing down his neck We had several people offering to join the team and I will review them and contact them related to that and see if they are still willing to join the team. If someone is still willing to help, we will discuss the matter together and move the front-end side of the project forward again Sorry it took so long, but these processes are tedious and do require full attention to have positive results MOT-smile_guy

We’re back!!!Actually, we never left…. Work has been slow, but steady…. For example, the Back-End developer has spent the last couple of weeks looking at the randomizer. You would think that would be a pretty straightforward project, but there are a large number of randomizers to review; and not all randomizers are well designed and can handle the needs of this game. Front-End development is slowly starting back up. Real life issues forced members of the team to slow down their work effort. But, the team is back together again at full strength, focused and dedicated to pushing this Project to the next phase. At the moment, the team is reviewing all the work that has been completed; checking to see that everything works; and talking to another professional Front-End designer/coder who should be able to provide additional support for the remaining development cycles. We can report that we have completed the artwork and design for the flags that will be used in the game; creating flags of various sizes for more than 100 countries, territories and/or regions. In closing, this Project is on track and working toward providing an “alpha test” version soon. We thank you for your patience. So, in the words of Eddie Murphy.... "The Boys are back in town!!!!"

Yes, we know…another Announcement about the game. But, this is truly good news. We are now working on the communication between the server and client (currently doing login tests). In non-coding language, that means we soon begin testing of a “functioning website".
We are asking people to join us in Slack (MyBasketCoach) if they wish to participate in testing the game!!!
Now, that is what I call progress!!! Kudos to all the people working behind the scenes to make this happen (and you know who you are)….

Small update from the team: We have deployed out automated deployment system early this week and is currently under testing to ensure that everything is working. So far only small things showed up and sorted those out. This means that all those boring images you have seen a while back are now working and available for those interested in testing them out. For more info go to our slack channel and feel free to talk more directly with us there as well. mybasketcoach.slack.com/MOT-smile_guy
